Karolina Iwanska is Digital Civic Space Advisor at the European Center for Not-for-Profit Law (ECNL). She is a human rights lawyer specialised in the impact of new and emerging technologies on civic freedoms. She leads ECNL’s work on digital rights in the EU, notably with respect to ECNL’s advocacy regarding the EU’s Artificial Intelligence Act and Digital Services Act. 

Markus Jaeger is Founder of Jaeger & Associates Human Rights Consultants. He has hands-on experience in human rights, the rule of law and law enforcement, working for the Council of Europe and Interpol, and advising Frontex. He is a trained banker.

Věra Jourová, Vice-President of the European Commission and responsible for Values and Transparency, deals with democracy, rule of law, media pluralism and the fight against disinformation. Previously, she served as European Commissioner for Justice, Consumers and Gender Equality.
