Paul Van Tigchelt (50) started his career in 1998 in the Antwerp prosecutor’s office, after which he became deputy chief of staff, head of the Integral Security Cell and spokesperson for the Minister of the Interior (2008-13). From 2014 he served as deputy attorney-general and from 2016 as the director of the Belgian anti-terrorism body. In 2020, he was appointed deputy chief of staff to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice, to whom he succeeded in Oct. 2023.

Guided by the mission to inspire, activate and accelerate collective action to respect human rights and the environment within the context of European football, UEFA aims to empower everyone involved in the sport to play an active role in contributing to sustainable development.
This masterclass will provide practical insights into UEFA’s targeted measures and investments in policies and areas of action, coupled with examples of how it is building capacities and catalysing collaboration across national associations, leagues and clubs in support of sustainable development.
With UEFA EURO 2024 being held in Germany this summer, the masterclass will also zoom in on the concrete example of this large-scale tournament to showcase the strategic intent to position environmental, social and governance (ESG) themes as contributing factors to the tournament’s success.
Filippo Veglio is Head of Social and Environmental Sustainability at UEFA, European football's governing body. He works in partnership with Europe’s national associations, leagues and clubs to achieve the mission and targets set out in UEFA’s Football Sustainability Strategy 2030.

Joram Verhoeven works as project manager at the Educational Department of Anne Frank House in Amsterdam. He is responsible for coordinating all the educational football projects, working with many Dutch football clubs and the Dutch Football Association, to combat antisemitism, racism and other forms of discrimination.
