Ilze Brands Kehris is the Assistant Secretary-General for Human Rights since 14 January 2020, heading the UN Human Rights Office in New York.
She previously served as an independent Expert Member of the United Nations Human Rights Committee from 2017-2019.
She held several leadership positions in national and regional level human rights organisations, including as a Member and Chairperson of the Management Board of the EU Fundamental Rights Agency and Director of the Office of OSCE.

Barbora Bukovska is a Czech human rights attorney. She leads law, policy and UN advocacy work at the international freedom of expression organisation, ARTICLE 19. She also has vast experience working on human rights issues, including protection from discrimination, access to justice, deprivation of liberty, reproductive rights, and community development.
