Doaa Al Zamel (Abo Nabout) is one of 11 survivors of the 2014 Malta migrant shipwreck that killed approximately 500 people. Credited with saving the life of a child in the aftermath, she has gone on to win international awards and acclaim. The subject of a bestselling biography, Doaa is a sought-after speaker on refugee issues and related topics such as resilience and the importance of education.

Teresa Albano is a programme officer for the Europe Region at the International Dialogue Centre KAICIID. She is an expert in humanitarian aid, migration governance and anti-trafficking. She is also a lecturer with the Vienna Diplomatic Academy at Sapienza University and Tor Vergata University. She previously worked at the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM). 

María José Aldanas Sánchez is a policy officer at FEANTSA.She focuses on housing rights issues and coordinates the Housing Rights Watch. She studied law at the Complutense University of Madrid and holds a Master’s degree specialising in migration.
